I am a monastic at heart. Though I live in a relatively ordinary way. I share the values of the Benedictine Sisters of Erie and have been associated with them since the mid 1980’s. I cherish this part of my life and love these deep and dear friends.
When I first became acquainted with them, I wanted to keep it a secret. It was as if I felt that sharing my heart so openly would be too vulnerable and it might change my relationship with the community. The more I got to know the community, the more I realized the importance of sharing their love and compassion with all whom I meet.
It in within the sharing and growing that the community is strengthened.
